I have been working with clay for 13 years. It all started with a hand building class my senior year of college. At the time I was also taking a print making class. In the print making class we were carving linoleum and wood blocks. As my pottery skills progressed I began to combine the two art processes by carving on the surface of my pots. I have worked for two different clay suppliers both of which had pottery studios where I have taken many classes and workshops. One of the studios is Porcelain and Stoneware in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the other is Odyssey studio in Asheville, North Carolina. I am currently a studio potter in Asheville, North Carolina where I have lived for the better part of the last 18 years.
