For me making and creating are natural urges that manifest themselves in many ways in my life. Design, wood burning, painting, drawing, print making, cooking, and ceramics are some of the media I have used to express myself. At this point in my life they seem to have found a union in my pottery. I have a practical side that is also present in what I create. I make functional art that can be used to serve food and drink, but can also bring beauty to the home.

I like to think that the pieces I have made are used to deliver refreshment and nourishment and that the vessels carry a bit of celebration with each use. Sharing food and drink with the company of good friends and family are some of the most intimate and cherished moments of life. I strive to make art that facilitates and enhances these experiences.
